Owls and hawks
Winter is a good time to look for owls. One of our club members invited us to join her at Heart Lake CA, where I got this picture of a Long-eared Owl roosting in a pine tree.
I’ve also had several visits lately from a Sharp-shinned Hawk, intent on catching a Chickadee or Mourning Dove at my feeder.
